MY STORY

I have struggled with weight all my life, and through the years I cared too much about other people’s opinions, of me, of my weight, of my habits, of my life.  Every time I was at a restaurant, a gathering, a party, I was worried that people would see me and judge me based on what was on my plate, as if I always had to have a leaf of lettuce and a glass of water for a meal.    

Being 308lbs was not easy, it’s a lot of “weight to carry on your shoulders” but the weight of the opinions of others was even heavier.  AND this comes from a very confident person.  But even though I am grateful for my confidence, bossiness and sarcasm at times, I still felt insecure when it had to do with my appearance and food.  My personality just helped mask those insecurities.

HOW KETO CHANGED ME

Keto has changed my outlook towards food.  I am no longer ashamed of eating, I’m no longer ashamed of saying that I love food and I can eat.  I enjoy every meal.  I don’t even blink ordering a big juicy steak.  My only concern is if I will be able to finish it!  It’s funny to say that but Keto put my life in perspective.  Intermittent fasting was another big discovery that had so many benefits for me, especially in my running!

Greecefully Keto is the place I share my passion for my Keto lifestyle, share my thoughts, share my journey and most importantly, share my Greek heritage and ketofying the Greek recipes I grew up with.  I love baking and not only I create clean keto cakes, tarts and bread varieties, but I also create keto jams with ingredients you can pronounce and are also diabetic friendly.

I also took it a step further to educate myself even more on the lifestyle and I became a Certified Keto & Carnivore Health Coach.  I specialize in diabetes management, digestive issues, weight loss and menopause and studied under Maria and Craig Emmerich.  If you know anything about Keto, you know about Maria and Craig.  If you need to learn more, want to start and don't know how, have health issues you are struggling with, I can help.

I enjoy food, I enjoy working out, I enjoy times and endless talks with people I value.  Life is too short and it’s worth taking steps, no matter how small, to make it better, to make it count.  

I am also a Certified Keto & Carnivore Health Coach, yes I hold two certifications, as I believe coaching and mentoring helps on results and accountability.  I specialize in diabetes management, digestive problems, weight loss and menopause.  I can help.

HOW I CAN HELP

I will end the section by a simple quote I absolutely love: “The best weight you will ever lose, is the weight of other people’s opinions”.  Since I started this journey in September 2018, I came to the realization that I refuse to care about the opinion of others as to how unhealthy keto might be.  I refuse to entertain ignorance.  I refuse to try to convince someone about the benefits of Keto.  If I need to convince you, all that’s says to me is that you are not ready to change.  After all, you are free to follow what works for you.  BUT this? This, certainly works for me.
